Sandunes Paradise Beach Pondicherry is another place for you to explore in the backwaters of chunnambar in its south end. Even though Pondicherry has more beaches, Sandunes beach has its place among visitors. It is 13 km from white town and 6 km from Ariyankuppam. And 5 km from the chunnambar boathouse. Ariyankuppam already has lots to explore like Ruby beach, Eden beach, Diamond beach, Arikemedu, Arts and crafts village with Will’s boathouse, chunnambar boathouse, Ocean Park. The Sandunes is not far from these tourist spots, it is just 5kms from chunnambar.

Pondicherry Beach known as "Rock Beach or Promenade Beach" is the popular stretch of beachfront in the city of Puducherry, India, along the Bay of Bengal. It is a 1.5 kilometre-long stretch in Pondicherry, starts from War Memorial built at the beginning of the beach and end at Dupleix Park on the Goubert Avenue.
Rock Beach is not open for taking dips in the sea or any water sport activities, but many people visit the rock beach during sunrise and sunset for walking and jogging. The beach is clustered with tetrapods along the coastline, while a concrete pathway has been constructed which is flanked with shopping boutiques, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
